NOJA Power VISI-SWITCH® Deployed in the United States

NOJA Power, a leading manufacturer of medium voltage electrical switchgear, has confirmed the successful installation of its NOJA Power VISI-SWITCH® Load Break Switch at a major utility in the United States, marking the continued expansion of the technology into the North American market.

The NOJA Power VISI-SWITCH® is the world’s first solid dielectric insulated Load Break Switch with integrated visible isolation. Designed to improve both safety and reliability, the enclosed system provides a robust alternative to legacy air break switches while maintaining the visible isolation gap required for overhead line work practices.
The recent installation demonstrates the practical application of the VISI-SWITCH® in a live utility environment. Field images highlight how the solution integrates seamlessly into existing infrastructure while providing operators with a clearly visible isolation point, enhancing confidence during maintenance and switching operations.

Building on its proven field performance, NOJA Power has further enhanced the VISI-SWITCH® with the integration of remote control capability via its RC-10 control system. This functionality enables operators to perform switching operations remotely and supports integration into modern grid automation systems through industry-standard SCADA protocols, including DNP3 and IEC 61850.
The combination of visible isolation and remote operation in a single device offers utilities improved safety, flexibility, and operational efficiency, particularly as networks transition towards greater automation.

As utilities across the United States continue to prioritise safety, reliability, and decarbonisation, solutions such as the NOJA Power VISI-SWITCH® are increasingly being adopted to support evolving operational requirements.
