NOJA Power VISI-SWITCH® commissioned in NSW Australia

NOJA Power VISI-SWITCH® installation in New South Wales, Australia

Electrical switchgear engineering firm NOJA Power today confirm the commissioning of a NOJA Power VISI-SWITCH® Load Break Switch in New South Wales Australia.

This installation represents a transition to business as usual for manufacturing of the next generation Load Break Switch.

NOJA Power’s VISI-SWITCH® is the worlds first solid dielectric insulated Load Break Switch with enclosed visible isolation. With zero SF6, the product provides a sustainable alternative to existing SF6 switchgear technology, and a reliable alternative to traditional air break devices.

As the NOJA Power VISI-SWITCH® industrialisation process has reached completion, NOJA Power has expanded manufacturing capacity at their Brisbane factory to meet global demand.

“The NOJA Power VISI-SWITCH® is the ideal product to replace every manual operated enclosed SF6 gas switch in Australia,” says NOJA Power Group Managing Director Neil O'Sullivan.

“With net carbon zero targets set SF6 gas switches will be removed from the network and the VISI-SWITCH is the ideal solution which will also increase safety for operators with its integrated visible break.”

As was the case with their OSM Recloser product more than 20 years ago, the first NOJA Power VISI-SWITCH® sales were exports. After surviving many years in challenging international environments, NOJA Power has agreed to proceed to volume manufacture of their new NOJA Power VISI-SWITCH® with a confidence of ongoing reliability and performance.
