Understanding the Safety and Reliability Advantages of the Patented NOJA Power EcoLink® Mechanical Interlock Handle

As NOJA Power’s newest innovation, the EcoLink® Fuse Link Mounted Circuit Breaker gains global adoption for Sectionalising and Fuse replacement applications, a key safety driver is the patented Mechanical Interlock Handle.
This feature sets a new benchmark in safety through arc mitigation and operator protection.
The Mechanical Interlock handle ensures that all electrical make and break operations are exclusively performed by the internal vacuum interrupter, a critical advancement that significantly reduces the risk of external arcing. This design enhancement not only protects field personnel but also extends the operational life of the equipment by minimising exposure to arc-related damage.
“EcoLink® represents a major step forward in safe switching technology,” said Neil O’Sullivan, Group Managing Director at NOJA Power. “By integrating our patented mechanical interlock that guarantees vacuum interrupter operation, we’re delivering a solution that prioritises both safety and performance.”
EcoLink® is engineered for seamless integration into modern distribution networks by fitting into most existing fuse link cutouts, offering utilities and industrial operators a significant safety upgrade over legacy fuse technology.
NOJA Power is also offering complementary engineering testing in their ISO 17025 accredited laboratory on customer-provided cutouts, so Utilities can receive documented performance compatibility confirmation between their existing cutout assets and the NOJA Power EcoLink®.
Key Benefits of EcoLink®:
- Enhanced Safety: Patented Mechanical interlock greatly reduces risk of arcs during switching.
- Sustainable Design: SF₆-free vacuum technology supports green energy goals.
- Operational Efficiency: In most modern networks, the costs saved of a single outage mitigated by NOJA Power EcoLink® will provide a positive return on investment.
- Reliability: Robust engineering for long-term performance in harsh environments.
NOJA Power invites utilities, engineers, and industry stakeholders to explore EcoLink® and experience the future of safe, sustainable switching.
