Quality Inspector

• Full Time Position in a dynamic company

NOJA Power ® researches, develops, designs, manufactures and supplies low, medium and high voltage switchgear products globally. We are seeking applications for the position of a Quality Inspector with the knowledge and experience in electrical and mechanical areas. Reporting to the Quality and Safety Manager, the responsibilities of the Quality Inspector include:
• Conduct inward goods inspection (according to specifications - both dimensional and functional) of components;
• Preparation of quality inspection report for the inspected components;
• Review non-conformance and taking decision on rework, scrap or return to the suppliers;
• Analyze non-conformances and find root cause and implement actions;
• Raising quality issue and advise and react to the issues;
• Review and analyze NCR database;
• Conduct internal auditing;
• Other activities as directed by the Quality and Safety Manager;

Qualifications: Trade / Diploma Qualifications in Electrical/Mechanical. The successful candidate should have experiences in the following:

• Manufacturing process in quality focus
• Inspection and test
• Non-conformance investigation, finding root cause and implement action
• Understand drawings, schematics and specifications
• knowledge on ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards
• Report writing and data analysis
• Internal auditing
• Computer skills
• Teamwork
• Knowledge in health safety and environment (HSE)

An opportunity is available for an experienced Electronics Technician to join our Electronics team. The successful applicant will enjoy being part of an organization taking Australian technology to the world.

You will be capable of working with minimum supervision to investigate non-conforming multilayer printed circuit boards as well as troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PCA testing equipment. Your previous experience will have provided you with broad electronics knowledge and good electronics debugging skills.

Working with Production Engineers and Testers you will be responsible for liaising with PCA suppliers to ensure our products are manufactured to meet strict quality and performance criteria.

Successful candidates will possess:

  • Trade qualifications in Electronics
  • The ability to read schematic diagrams
  • Experience in electronics manufacture or repair
  • The ability to analyze and fault find electronic systems and equipment to discrete component level
  • High quality soldering skills with the ability to replace components on surface mount or through hole PCB's
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Understanding of software/hardware interaction and communication interfaces.

Qualifications: You will have an Associate Diploma or Degree in Electronic Engineering and at least 3 years' experience with industrial electronic equipment and systems. Manufacturing experience including fault finding on multilayer SMT PCAs will be highly regarded.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Senior Software Developer with significant experience to join a leading international company.   The role is focused on specifying, designing and implementing the future product software and applications to meet the dynamic needs of the energy industry. It would ideally suit a candidate who wants to take a leading role in developing solutions from embedded software to cloud platforms.  

This role requires some hands-on development, however the focus is to lead and guide other team members and stakeholders within the business. It is important you have excellent communication skills and be able to apply the right solution to a given problem.

 Experience in:

  • Expert in Object Oriented programming and design patterns
  • 5-10 years of working experience with C++ programming experience.
  • Other languages (e.g. Python) would be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated ability to design systems and good API design principles
  • Version control tools (especially GIT/BitBucket and SVN),
  • Systems engineering and specifying requirements
  • Significant Experience with 32 bit Embedded Linux Systems
  • User Interface (UI) design ranging from devices (Human Machine Interfaces) to desktop applications
  • Knowledge of hardware and networking technologies, as well as systems operations & maintenance requirements
  • A track record in driving successful outcomes in terms of designs and projects
