An opportunity is available for an experienced Electronics Technician to join our Electronics team. The successful applicant will enjoy being part of an organization taking Australian technology to the world.

You will be capable of working with minimum supervision to investigate non-conforming multilayer printed circuit boards as well as troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PCA testing equipment. Your previous experience will have provided you with broad electronics knowledge and good electronics debugging skills.

Working with Production Engineers and Testers you will be responsible for liaising with PCA suppliers to ensure our products are manufactured to meet strict quality and performance criteria.

Successful candidates will possess:

  • Trade qualifications in Electronics
  • The ability to read schematic diagrams
  • Experience in electronics manufacture or repair
  • The ability to analyze and fault find electronic systems and equipment to discrete component level
  • High quality soldering skills with the ability to replace components on surface mount or through hole PCB's
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Understanding of software/hardware interaction and communication interfaces.

Qualifications: You will have an Associate Diploma or Degree in Electronic Engineering and at least 3 years' experience with industrial electronic equipment and systems. Manufacturing experience including fault finding on multilayer SMT PCAs will be highly regarded.

Responsibility: You will have the maturity, focus and intensity to manage your priorities, while providing a reasonable degree of transparency and progress reporting to your supervising Production Electronics Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Senior Software Developer with significant experience to join a leading international company.   The role is focused on specifying, designing and implementing the future product software and applications to meet the dynamic needs of the energy industry. It would ideally suit a candidate who wants to take a leading role in developing solutions from embedded software to cloud platforms.  

This role requires some hands-on development, however the focus is to lead and guide other team members and stakeholders within the business. It is important you have excellent communication skills and be able to apply the right solution to a given problem.

 Experience in:

  • Expert in Object Oriented programming and design patterns
  • 5-10 years of working experience with C++ programming experience.
  • Other languages (e.g. Python) would be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated ability to design systems and good API design principles

PHP Web Developer

NOJA Power® designs, manufactures & supplies low & medium voltage switchgear products up to 38kV to our customer base worldwide.

Increasing production requires re-engineering our production database system to scale with NOJA Power’s growth.

We are seeking an experienced PHP web developer to undertake this challenging project, creating a web interface to interact with MySQL database. Estimated timeframe is 3 - 4 months.

Test Engineer - (Electrical/Protection)

NOJA Power researches, develops, designs, manufactures and supplies globally low and medium voltage switchgear products. We are currently seeking applications for the position of Test Engineer (Electrical/Protection).

The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting the testing of the microprocessor based controllers for medium voltage circuit breaker reclosers) with the focus on protection functionality, data logging and general operational performance.

Qualifications: Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or Trade / Diploma Qualifications with utility protection experience

The successful candidate should have:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the protection functionality in Medium Voltage distribution network
  • Previous experience using protection relay test sets (Doble, Omicron or similar)
  • General knowledge of industry standards and practices
  • Knowledge and understanding of modern communication protocols (DNP3, IEC 60870 family, IEC 61850) is desirable

Experience: You will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in testing of electrical and/or electronic products.

Service Engineer

NOJA Power researches, develops, designs, manufactures and supplies globally low and medium voltage switchgear products. We are seeking applications for the position of a Service Engineer with the knowledge and experience of the protection, SCADA and medium voltage switchgear.

This position will be focusing on the support to Latin American market and requires knowledge of Spanish language (as a first language). Reporting to the Service Manager, the responsibilities of the ServiceEngineer include: 

• Provide Technical Support to the customers• Investigation of technical issues and preparation of the customer reports• Warranty and now-warranty parts dispatch• Participation in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) with the customers• Customer training at the factory and customer's premises.• Translation of technical documentation to Spanish• Other activities as directed by the Service Manager

Qualifications: Electrical or Electronics Engineering degree or similar with extensive experience in the power utility. The successful candidate should have experience in the following:

• Spanish Language• Knowledge and understanding of medium voltage network, including switchgear and protection relays• Knowledge of modern telemetry protocols and RTUs• Good communication skills• Computer skills Experience: You will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in testing of electrical and/or electronic products.
