Embedded Software Developer

We are seeking an embedded software engineer to join our development team. The successful applicant will enjoy being part of an organization taking Australian technology to the world.

Experience:

You will have a minimum of 3 years experience in developing C and C++ software for embedded systems. Your strengths and experience will be in the areas of:

• Development of Linux applications on 32 bit embedded systems
• Eclipse, GNU Tools
• Low level device drivers
• Good exposure to the IP networking area (e.g. TCP/IP, sockets, network APIs)
• Working with revision control systems such as SVN
• Development over the entire SDLC
• Contributing to the requirements gathering and design of solutions

Previous exposure to the following would be highly regarded:
• Communications protocols (especially SCADA)

Qualifications:

You will have a degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related.

Responsibility:

You will have the maturity, focus and intensity to manage your priorities and projects, while providing a reasonable degree of transparency and progress to the R&D Software Team Leader.

Personal Attributes:

You will have a passion for using embedded technology, communications technology and data analytics to disrupt an existing market and deliver customer benefits. We are seeking applications from persons, preferably Year 12 – 2018 school leavers, enthusiastic to undertake an electrical apprenticeship to become a Systems Electrician. Cert III Electro-technology Electrician UEE30811;

Based at our premises in Murarrie, the successful applicant will have involvement with the design, manufacture, testing & service of our products and specialized in house test equipment & test jigs. Apprentices are engaged in works ranging from PCB board level repair, software interrogation of microprocessor devices to installation of facility & production line upgrades;

Applicants must possess a willingness to show initiative in their work, be focused on tasks provided & passionate about their work. Examples of these would be advantageous;

NOJA Power manufactures and supplies globally a range of medium voltage switchgear products. We are seeking applications for the position of Sourcing officer for our Office and Manufacturing facility in Murarrie, Brisbane.

This exciting opportunity for a sourcing professional to join a growing organization is not to be missed.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Source potential domestic and international suppliers to effect procurement efficiencies, including arranging tenders or other appropriate means for identifying suppliers and assist in the development and preparation of procurement, tender evaluation and supplier agreement documentation as required.
• Undertake the procurement function including commercial analysis, negotiation, signing supplier agreements and award of purchase orders.
• Administer and manage supplier agreements, by monitoring performance and initiating corrective action, where necessary, and periodically report on supplier performance and procurement plan KPIs
• Review and agree price lists with key and main suppliers.
• Provide regular progress reports to senior managers regarding procurement strategies (current and under development) and the cost savings (actual and/or projected) derived from these strategies.
• Deliver cost savings to the business through improved procurement processes.

To be successful in the role, you should possess:

• 2-5 years Experience in similar role
• Demonstrated ability in ERP systems and process assessment, SAP experience will be highly regarded
• Preferably business degree majoring in supply and logistics or relevant industry experience
• Candidates with engineering skills will be highly regarded
• International Sourcing experience.
You must also be an exceptional communicator and able to build strong working relationships with both internal staff and external suppliers to ensure that agreed outcomes are delivered for the business.
