Quality Inspector

NOJA Power researches, develops, designs, manufactures and supplies low, medium and high voltage switchgear products globally. We are seeking applications for the position of a Quality Inspector with the knowledge and experience in electrical and mechanical areas. Reporting to the Quality and Safety Manager, the responsibilities of the Quality Inspector include:

  • Conduct inward goods inspection (according to specifications - both dimensional and functional) of components;
  • Preparation of quality inspection report for the inspected components;
  • Review non-conformance and taking decision on rework, scrap or return to the suppliers;
  • Analyze non-conformances and find root cause and implement actions;
  • Raising quality issue and advise and react to the issues;
  • Review and analyze NCR database;
  • Conduct internal auditing;
  • Other activities as directed by the Quality and Safety Manager;

Qualifications:

Diploma/Engineering Qualifications in Mechanical / Electrical. The successful candidate should have experiences in the following:

  • Manufacturing process in quality focus
  • Inspection and test
  • Non-conformance investigation, finding root cause and implement action
  • Understand drawings, schematics and specifications knowledge on ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
  • Report writing and data analysis
  • Internal auditing
  • Computer skills
  • Teamwork
  • Knowledge in health safety and environment (HSE)

Contract Applications Software Developer

NOJA Power Switchgear manufactures and supplies globally a range of microprocessor based, intelligent medium voltage switchgear providing control, measurement and communication capabilities. We are seeking a Contract Applications Software Developer with a few years of professional software development experience and sound knowledge of computer and systems networking for a specific project. The successful applicant will enjoy being part of an established software development team in an organization taking Australian technology to the world. The contract will initially be for a duration of 6 months.

Essential Skills and Experience: The ideal candidate will have a number of years of professional experience gained from industry, developing C#/.Net/C++ desktop applications for the Windows platform and considerable networking experience. The following skills and experience are essential:
• Strong C#/.Net 4.6 or higher with Visual Studio
• SQL and SQL Scripting
• Sockets and network protocols development
• Working with revision control systems such as SVN, Bitbucket, Git etc. and requirements and issue tracking tools like JIRA, Trac, Bugzilla.
• Knowledge of IP based networks & network security
• Software installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting experience
• Ability to debug and fix bugs in a large software project
• Proven track record of delivering robust software solutions
• Liaising with customers and code contributors in a technical capacity
• Good documentation, communication, analytical & resolution skills

Desirable Skills and Experience:
• WPF and XAML (Windows Presentation Foundation)
• Creating and using security certificates in software
• Experience of modifying and deploying open source software
• Web hosting administration and support experience

Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in computer science, electrical engineering or related fields or equivalent experience.

Responsibility: Maturity and focus to manage own priorities and projects, while supporting the larger team in achieving the goals.

Test Engineer - Electrical Electronics Software

NOJA Power researches, develops, designs, manufactures and supplies globally low and medium voltage switchgear products. We are currently seeking applications for the position of Test Engineer – Electrical/Electronics/Software with the knowledge and experience in the electrical/electronics field.

This position requires the ability to systematically test the functionality of controllers designed in house for high voltage electrical protection systems.

The role requires a firm understanding of 3 phase power distribution networks and the protection techniques commonly used in the industry.

Applicants with experience or skills in the following areas will be highly regarded:

  • An understanding of software design, and how to automate hardware and software testing by developing automated testing systems.
  • A working knowledge of modern communications techniques including encryption and security.
  • Detailed understanding of communications protocols such as IEC 61850, DNP3 and IEC 60870-5-101/104.

Primary Role:

  • Test functionality of embedded systems including protection functionality, communications and associated hardware.

The successful applicant will also be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Entering and updating issue tickets
  • Reviewing specifications for new features
  • Developing test plans and executing them
  • Providing service and support for customers

Qualifications:

A qualification in a related technical area and experience with medium voltage circuit breakers, protection relays, SCADA communications protocols and RTU’s will be highly regarded.
