NOJA Power designs, manufactures, and supplies globally our range of medium voltage switchgear products from Queensland Australia. We are seeking candidates for two position of “Business Development Manager” responsible for the sales/technical support of our products within the United States and Canada. Dependant on the correct candidate we would be looking to base positions in both the East Coast and the West Coast, and or the Mid North West.

The successful candidate will hold electrical engineering or trade qualifications together with experience in interfacing directly to Distribution Network Service Providers along with managing a Rep network and Distributors. An understanding of medium voltage switchgear and or protection products would be highly regarded. Experience in travelling to and selling products into the United States is preferred but not essential.

You will be required to travel on a regular basis throughout your region, interfacing directly to NOJA Power’s customers. Your domestic travel will support NOJA Power’s Exclusive Reps & Distributors, and provide technical presentations and training, to NOJA Power’s customers within this region.

The successful candidates would also be required to attend training at NOJA Powers Corporate Head Office and manufacturing facility, based in Australia once travel restrictions have been lifted.

NOJA Power researches, develops, designs, manufactures and supplies globally low and medium voltage switchgear products. We are currently seeking applications for the position of Software Test/Automation Engineer.
This position requires the ability to systematically test the functionality of controllers and PC software designed in house for high voltage electrical protection systems.
The role requires a firm understanding of how to test software with a focus on automating the testing processes where applicable. An understanding of 3 phase power distribution networks and the protection techniques commonly used in the industry would also be advantageous.

Applicants with experience or skills in the following areas will be highly regarded:
- An understanding of software design, and how to automate hardware and software testing by developing automated testing systems.
- A knowledge of IT systems, including embedded Linux, Windows and cloud services platforms.
- A working knowledge of modern communications techniques including encryption and security.
- Detailed understanding of communications protocols such as IEC 61850, DNP3 and IEC 60870-5-101/104.

Primary Role:
• Test functionality of embedded systems including PC based software, embedded firmware, protection functionality, communications, and associated hardware.

The successful applicant will also be responsible for the following tasks:
• Entering and updating issue tickets
• Reviewing specifications for new features
• Developing test plans and executing them
• Providing service and support for customers

Qualifications:
A qualification in a related technical area and experience with protection relays, SCADA communications protocols and RTU’s will be highly regarded.

Reporting to the Quality and Safety Manager, your key responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Conduct sample inspection of incoming materials (according to specifications - both dimensional and functional)
• Prepare of quality inspection report for the inspected materials
• Review problems and take decision on accepting and rejecting the materials
• Report to suppliers if inspected items fail to conform specifications
• Investigate non-conformances, find out potential root causes and implement required actions
• Maintain records of inspection, test results and non-conformances

You will be part of a team whose role is to provide on-going production support, upgrade existing products and industrialise new products. The suitable candidate will have the following qualifications/experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications with:

     -   5+ year’s Mechanical Product Design Engineering experience, or 

     -   10+ years industry experience

  • Proven experience in Mechanical Product Design, including: 

     -   Manufacture & assembly of mass-produced products/assemblies

     -  Concept development, 3D modelling (preferably CREO, but not essential) and detailed manufacturing drawings 

     -  Product improvement, development, and implementation

Reporting to the Group Finance Director, your key responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Lead the Contract Administration team;
• Manage the company sales contracts activities while driving processes to ensure efficiency and improve customer relationships;
• End to end management of the domestic and international Sales Orders and Contracts;
• Prepare and Oversee the Letter of Credits payment claims;
• Coordinate and manage company’s domestic and international freight requirements with the goal to maximise volume and lower the cost of doing business;
