NOJA Power researches, develops, designs, manufactures and supplies globally low and medium voltage switchgear products. We are currently seeking applications for the position of Service Engineer with a focus on assisting the team to support the Latin American market.

This position would ideally suit an engineer with an electrical/electronic engineering degree. Electrical trades people or technicians with industry experience would also be considered. An understanding of 3 phase power distribution networks and the protection techniques commonly used in the industry would also be advantageous.

An ability to communicate clearly in English and Spanish will be required, as this role will focus on supporting our products in the Latin American region. Translation of technical documents and testing of software with Spanish language interfaces will also be required.

Applicants with experience or skills in the following areas will be highly regarded:

  • Medium voltage distribution network protection techniques.
  • Detailed understanding of communications protocols such as IEC 61850, DNP3 and IEC 60870-5-101/104.
  • Secure IP based communications networks.
  • Spanish language (native speaker preferred).

Primary Role:

  • Provide support to customers for electrical switchgear products and software with a focus on the Latin American market.

The successful applicant will also be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Translation of technical documents.
  • Provide product training to customers.
  • Record field calls in the call tracking system
  • Conduct acceptance testing with customers

 

Qualifications:

A qualification in a related technical area and experience with protection relays, SCADA communications protocols and RTU’s will be highly regarded.

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 3-5 years’ experience in the mechanical design of mass produced products/assemblies.  The successful applicant will enjoy being part of an organization taking Australian technology to the world, and will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Min 3-5 years’ experience in mechanical design of mass produced products/assemblies;

Your key responsibilities will include:

Reporting to the Production Engineering Manager, you will be part of a team whose role it is to reduce product BOM costs.  To succeed in this you will need to perform the following tasks:

  • Analyse existing NOJA Power product and identify opportunities for design optimisation.
  • Create alternative designs that simplify product, reduce assembly time, and reduce BOM costs.
    • Understand the core design requirements
    • Work with suppliers to better understand their processes and cost factors
    • Work with process engineers to review ease of product assembly
  • Create detailed manufacturing drawings/specifications for improved designs, in conjunction with mechanical drafters and other team members.
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate changes in design, in conjunction with Technicians and other team members.
  • Implement, comply with and enforce NOJA Power quality, environmental and workplace health and safety procedures.

As a Quality Inspector, you will uphold the safety regulations of our company and ensure that our products are made of flawless materials with well-functioning equipment. Reporting to the Quality and Safety Manager, your key responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Conduct sample inspection of incoming materials (according to specifications - both dimensional and functional)
• Prepare quality inspection report for the inspected materials
• Review problems and take decision on accepting and rejecting the materials
• Report to suppliers if inspected items fail to conform specifications
• Investigate non-conformances, find out potential root causes and implement required actions
• Review and update non-conformance database based on actions
• Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control
• Perform other activities as directed by the Quality and Safety Manager

To be successful in this role, the candidate should possess:
• Bachelor/Diploma Qualifications in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
• Source potential suppliers (domestic and international) to effect procurement efficiencies, including arranging tenders or other appropriate means for identifying suppliers
• Assist in the preparation of procurement documentation including supplier agreements and tender evaluation
• Undertake commercial analysis, supplier negotiation and awarding of purchase orders
• Administer and manage supplier agreements, monitor performance and initiate corrective action as necessary
• Review and agree price lists with key suppliers.
• Provide reports on cost savings (actual and/or projected) derived from procurement strategies.

To be successful in the role, you will possess:
• 2-5 years’ experience in similar role
