This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Senior Software Developer with significant experience to join a leading international company.   The role is focused on specifying, designing and implementing the future product software and applications to meet the dynamic needs of the energy industry. It would ideally suit a candidate who wants to take a leading role in developing solutions from embedded software to cloud platforms. 

Please note this role requires some hands-on development.  In addition, it involves leading and guiding other team members and stakeholders within the business. It is important you have excellent communication skills and be able to apply the right solution to a given problem.

Experience in:

  • Expert in Object Oriented programming and design patterns
  • 5-10 years of working experience with C++ programming experience. Other languages (e.g. Python) are highly regarded but preference is given to C++.
  • Demonstrated ability to design systems and good API design principles
  • Version control tools (especially GIT/BitBucket and SVN),
  • Task tracking tools (e.g. JIRA and Tracs)
  • Systems engineering and specifying requirements
  • Significant Experience with 32 bit Embedded Linux Systems
  • User Interface (UI) design ranging from devices (Human Machine Interfaces) to desktop applications
  • Knowledge of hardware and networking technologies, as well as systems operations & maintenance requirements

Qualifications: You will have a honors degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related.

Assistant Production Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated, result driven Assistant Production Manager to support the Production Manager in the day to day management of a diverse team as well as contributing to the achievement of our long range strategic initiatives.

Position Requirements:

  • At least 5-years experience in production management or tertiary qualifications in a manufacturing related discipline
  • Experience in production planning using MRP systems
  • Experience in logistics, ware housing and inventory management
  • High level of computer literacy familiarity with SQL database applications highly regarded
  • SAP Business One and Crystal report experience is highly regarded
  • Superior analytical and reporting skills and an ability to achieve outcomes with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
  • Impeccable attention to detail

Position Responsibilities:

  • VISI-SwitchTM Production Line day to day operations
  • Review and implement inventory and logistic processes
  • Data acquisition from SAP Business ON using Queries, MS Excel and Crystal report
  • Management of SAP Business One settings associated with Production activities
  • Organise and participate in annual stock-take process
  • Monitor MRP recommendations and manage MRP parameters

Experience:

  • Knowledge of hardware and networking technologies, including systems operations & maintenance requirements.
  • Strong experience in a senior developer role across embedded development with the ability to mentor and guide junior programmers.
  • Must be a hands on developer with strong problem solving abilities.

Experience: You will have a minimum of 3 years experience in developing C and C++ software for embedded systems. Your strengths and experience will be in the areas of:

  • Development of Linux applications on 32 bit embedded systems
  • Eclipse, GNU Tools
  • Low level device drivers
  • Good exposure to the IP networking area (e.g. TCP/IP, sockets, network APIs)
  • Working with revision control systems such as SVN
  • Development over the entire SDLC
  • Contributing to the requirements gathering and design of solutions

Previous exposure to the following would be highly regarded:

  • Communications protocols (especially SCADA)
