New Switchgear Factory Opened in Brisbane
Around the world electrical utilities are recognising the benefits of using NOJA Power reclosers in their network. Installations have accelerated in 2004 with devices now on power poles in over 16 countries. This figure is set to increase in 2005 as more utilities realise the unique advantages of the OSM recloser.
The line will handle the assembly, final testing and dispatch of outdoor switchgear to customers worldwide using state of the art assembly and testing facilities. The commissioning of this line means our customers can expect their switchgear requirements to be met on time, every time.
The challenge of designing a suitable environment for the production of medium voltage switchgear and advanced electronic controllers was undertaken by NOJA Power's Engineering Manager, Jay Manne. Jay's primary goal was to produce an efficient production process while ensuring the highest finished build quality. This involved designing a clean, efficient, line coupled with a test facility capable of ensuring the finished product meets all the relevant standards for medium voltage switchgear.
The new line will be used to produce NOJA Power's full range of outdoor, pole mounted switchgear.

- OSM 27 (27kV)
- RC Control Cubicle
