NOJA Power can now offer a new truck-mounted indoor circuit breaker designed to directly replace Toshiba VK breakers.

It is intended for either retro-fit applications in existing switchgear, or for inclusion in new switchboard designs.

The unique design takes full advantage of our proven ISM switching module to give an impressive list of features. These include:

VK Retrofit Circuit Breaker

• Up to 50,000 mechanical operations
• Fast operating times (35-60ms) using magnetic actuators
• Rated to 12kV
• Can break short circuit currents up to 20kA
• No SF6 gas or other insulants
• Proven micro-processor control modules for easy automation
• Can operate as either a circuit breaker or auto-recloser

One of the key advantages to using Noja Power's design is the ability to easily automate the circuit breaker. The control module provides dry contacts for tripping and closing the device. The actual operation is performed by the module itself. This makes it very easy to interface to external control circuitry making it extremely flexible for a wide range of switchboard applications.

The circuit breaker design was entirely developed at NOJA Power's production facility in Brisbane. Local manufacturers produce all components except the switching and control modules. All assembly and final testing takes place in the Brisbane factory to ensure a high-quality final product.
