NOJA Power demonstrates diverse engineering and manufacturing capabilities
Motor Control Centres
Installation of Low Voltage Motor Control Centres within Transportable Switch and Control Rooms offers a solution favoured by Mining and Industrial customers. Two NOJA Power intelligent motor control centres are in service on Coal Stacker machines at the recently completed Millennium Coal Mine.
The Motor Control Centres consist of incoming supply, instrumentation plus AC and DC supply for motor drives ranging from 0.32kW to 75kW.
Power monitoring, safety and protection functions are integrated through provision of RS-485 communications from each drive cell to a centralised PLC panel allowing monitoring and control in real time.
Quality control starts at the design phase with development of detailed layout and connections schedules for each area of the MCC. Responsibility for each cell rests with the electrician who wires it with independent confirmation testing carried out by QA personnel afterwards.
Final testing and installation into the transportable switchroom provide a part of the turnkey service.
Integration of installation, testing and commissioning services within a single offering ensures a high quality and time efficient delivery.

Protection Panels
Also from the NOJA Power LV production line, Protection, Metering and RTU Panels for Substation Control Buildings were sub-contracted to NOJA Power by Tenix Alliance and are now in service at Ergon Energy substations in Central Queensland. They provide protection, metering and communication functions at the Gladstone North 132kV / 66kV and Port Curtis 66kV / 11kV substations.
The delivery of functional test, point to point test, and routine test certificates with each panel is another stage in the high quality manufacturing process developed at NOJA Power Switchgear.
Manufactured in a single lot and delivered in four separable portions, NOJA Power also provided on-site assistance to the installation and commissioning teams to help meet critical deadlines.
